Our therapy services: Speech & Occupational Therapy
SPEECH THERAPY SCREENINGS
We screen individuals for possible communication, hearing, and/or feeding and swallowing disorders, to make appropriate referrals and recommendations. We use standardized screening tools and procedures that are evidence based and supported by typical development research.
SPEECH AND OT EVALUATIONS
We aim to complete comprehensive evaluations for differential diagnosis of a variety of speech and motor disorders. We use standardized tools to compare individuals to peers, review records to determine relevant health, medical and educational information, as well as interview family members to obtain a case history. Following the comprehensive evaluation, we are able to develop a plan for treatment and discuss eligibility criteria for treatment.
TREATMENT
We deliver evidenced based therapy aimed at optimizing an individual's ability. From the comprehensive assessment we will develop and implement a treatment plan appropriate for each patient.
Family coaching is an important part of our care plan.
